Take off airbox cover and remove filter it improves a little bit, but is breaking up on the top end, and backfires through the exshaust. For the Hawkeye series, I should look for the 400cc engine and not the smaller 300cc engine in which I believe came out in 2006 and 2007. I think in 2008, the Hawkeye series was discontinued and it was called the Sportsman 400 HO with the 400cc engine.
