Udm.wad has some of the best multiplayer. rage.wad came bundled with some versions of WadEd. I always loved it. Nice mix of space base and wood, just feels like classic doom in a way few wads do. It might be a bit recent, but Firetop Mountain is one of the most well designed maps I've ever played. Real DM .Doom 64 maps recreated or reimagined with vanilla Doom II assets, and made to run within the original vanilla limits. Not all maps are perfect recreations; the goal was to recreate the major aspects of the maps while allowing for creative liberties where needed or wanted.In my opinion eternal has 10x better gameplay, but 2016 has what better emersion. I felt like the doom slayer, rather than playing as him. The hud and small details and the less cartoony feel made the game more realistic tbh.
