Hi all, My 2000 Silverado lost the FM radio "signal" or maybe just the volume. I say it may just be the volume because the radio will still find stations and you can even hear them if you turn the volume up to max, but it is very faint. Thought it may have been the speakers, but the CD player still works. To help confirm that the radio C1 and C220 connectors are reversed, remove the 30 amp "Radio Amp" fuse from the UBEC. With the fuse removed turn ignition on and operate radio, if there is audio from the speakers the connectors are reversed. To correct the concern switch the connectors back to there correct location.

Over the last few months when I first turn on my truck my radio volume shoots up to the max volume. I have to continuously turn the volume knob down to keep it from being so loud for about 2 minutes before I'm actually able to control the volume. Yes the screen part you touch on the radio is it. On my 2008 Silverado, the radio works with no bass or you get the feeling that there are some speakers not working> I also turn up the volume all the way and it sounds like 25% of my Toyota. I sounds music with no bass. I tested each speaker 1-by-1 and all works. I also turned off the "Auto-Volume" with no luck.
