If you are using a 4l60 with your LS engine and the vehicle you are working on had a 4l60 then keep the factory transmission pins and swap them into the LS harness. I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. The truck accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds are an easier swap into a truck. It's NOT just a plug-n-play swap. The '89 cars differ from the trucks in the way the VSS talks to the speedometer. Cars use a gear driven VSS, whereas trucks use a reluctor wheel and magnetic sensor (see pics at the bottom).
