Fast flashing yellow light litter robot.
After we plug the unit, the yellow light will flash 2 times and nothing after. If I press the power button, it will very quickly cycle thru all the lights and again, it dies. We swapped the circuit board with the one of another LR3 that works fine and it was doing the same thing so it is not a bad circuit board…

My litter robot 3 had been flashing blue light and then yellow light (very fast) after pressing the reset button. I've read some troubleshooting to check for the metal pinch bars to be in contact all the time. I've tried to clean it and it appears to be in contact as well. The pin is not corroded as well.
What you are describing is a classic DFI failure. The pinch detect circuit is integrated in with the DFI. It will need to be replaced to restore proper functionality. If you are in warranty, you can go HERE and follow the directions for a fast flashing yellow light, submit a trouble ticket and they will contact you.
