The American Jazz Museum is a jazz museum in the historic 18th and Vine district of Kansas City, Missouri. The museum preserves the history of American jazz music, with exhibits on Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and others. This fall, the museum will present “Sound & Story: 25 Years at the American Jazz Museum,” an exhibit of objects, artifacts and vinyl banners based on the AJM’s four pillars of exhibition, research, performance and education.
