If you see mantis, start building hunters, or go for tech 3 and get scorch wraiths/ blisterbacks. If unsc, build 4 hornets and 4 kodiaks, the hornets will spot and damage the mantis, and kodiaks will blast them away. Cyclops also does well against mantis.
