They are more greyish now. It seems they removed a lot of the metal nodes in ASA, in addition to making them significantly harder to identify. The solution for me was to harvest all the metal around and on top of the volcano, with an anky/argentavis combo of course. Oh they're everywhere on white sky peak.

Small river rocks give a bit more metal then normal rocks and break fairly quickly (~3-5 swings with primitive pick, normal rates) Most of the rocks in your screen shot where all common rocks and give the least amount of metal.

Posted March 28. I agree with you, but also add more resources like: crystal, obsidian, gems, salt, sand, gas even element. ARK suvival acended still has several problems such as the concentration of resources in the mountains and snow biome, especially Whitesky Peak, the enormous dependence on metal and the little content of the sea.There is plenty of maps and guides out there for ark stop being lazy and coming to reddit. There is no metal node on long island. Closest metal mine is on the mountain east of you, but it's dangerous way to go there and back.
