My RWD cars also get their oil and rear axle fluid change around the 1,000 mile point.I assumed that the time sitting on the lot had used up some of the oil life and probably some from several short drives doing test drives. I completed the first oil change myself at 2,500 miles in October 2018 with the oil life monitor down to 32%.
