Springfield Prodigy Upgrades // still cheaper than a staccato. Egw (evolution gun works) sent me out a bunch of upgrades for the Springfield Prodigy. They totally change the feel of this gun and turn it into what it Springfield should have done from the factory. I chose to go with the stainless/silver accents which turned out perfect.If you take apart Staccato and Springfield mags you'll find the latter is sprung quite a bit more. Imo the Staccato mags are under-sprung, especially in the 20 rounders. Easy fix is to put Atlas extra power springs in them. The Prodigy is a good thing in that it puts needed pressure on the market. Staccato Ps don't need to cost $2.5k, but it's foolish to expect a pistol thats $1k cheaper to be "just as good". No free lunch and Staccato is still the baseline for a double stack that honest to goodness works from the start.
