When I was ready to go in for my appointment, I tried to close the window. It would run up an inch or do, pause, then go back to the full open position. This repeated several times. The window was occasionally getting stuck in the fully open position and would not close. I replaced the driver side window regulator and fixed that problem, however, I've ran into a new issue.

The switch can be opened (carefully, to not lose the springy parts inside), to examine the electrical contacts and the button linkage (to identify why it had that weird feeling). The motor has brushes and a commutator, and either could be worn out/damaged, or a winding in the motor might be open circuit, or shorted.
