I was coded as a tech at one point for about 4 or 5 months then had to drop back down to CSA due to budget cuts. I’m currently an ASM and am state and nationally certified.

RXOM is absorbing a lot of the managerial and inventory duties. So yea anything that isn’t in your job description I would stop (Then again if the rxom is petty he can just delegate them to you 😅). RxOM is a 40 hour position, sr tech is not guaranteed that. i cut mine to 34 to give my techs some hours. if i schedule myself 40, then i'd probably always be in ot bc i always come in a few minutes early and leave a few minutes after my scheduled time. i normally schedule myself 37.5 tho due to the 30 min lunch period.For any current or previous rxom employees, is the position worth it.
