Thanks all! TIs will default to scientific notation for small values, even when in normal mode. Casios have a "Norm2" mode which makes them less aggressive about doing this. Since you're doing electronics, I'd recommend switching to engineering mode. That way you'll only get exponents that correspond to kilo, milli, micro, nano, etc.
