From minutes tab -> Playbook ~> Assign Plays. On the Assign plays screen you'll see each player has 3 priority categories. I made sure none of my teammates had "Ball handler" as priory accept myself. Helps but still not perfect. I'm still experimenting because I don't have off-ball plays either.
