You get the normal exp for using all 5, and then exp for using the 4 bars in foundry again. But each bar gives alot more exp in foundry than normal, so 1 bar for mithril, addy etc gives more exp in foundry than 5 gives with normal smithing. That is, if you do it correctly. If you go and do a 14-14 sword steel/mith and then a 19-9 steel/mith sword you’ll instantly understand, it removes an entire progress bar and makes it wayyyyy more chill while losing you essentially nothing.
