The second drain and fill of the second 3 quarts (assuming the fluid from the first was mixed together completely) gets us to a total of 64% fluid replacement if I did the math right.

Overall, the 8 speed is a very good transmission. With my truck, it came down to the factory fill transmission fluid GM was using, which has been corrected. Since GM performed the latest bulletin on my truck, the shudder is completely gone.
