I was recently introduced to the 1911 and it has become my favorite pistol.I purchased a gsg 1911 22lr and i love it but i'm ready to step it up a little so I purchased a ATI 9mm 1911 with a 4 1/2 inch barrel.I heard the recoil spring and guide rod are inferior and I would like to replace them.
Just got home from a shoot, had a chance to try out the GSG 1911-22 c/w the new ZRTS Slide Alignment Cone (SAC) and Extended Guide Rod. The SAC allows removal of the barrel screw and though it does not secure the front of the barrel as tight as one expects when doing a real 1911 the bush appears to return the gun into battery Very Repeatedly.
