I have reloaded 7/8 and 9/8 loads and they work fine with same components and powders, but I favor the 1 oz, 8’s, 7-1/2 or duplex loads, 50/50 mix. I have also found E3 and Promo excellent powders when I could not get my favorite Hodgdon powders.I have also found reloading data on Alliant .410 but have not found any commentary from anyone who has tried this powder. From a pure cost standpoint, Alliant .410 is the cheapest per pound and also gives the most shells per pound. W296 and Lil'Gun are similar in cost but you get a few more shells from Lil' Gun.I'm pretty much a new guy on the board here, and have learned a lot from the regulars. Unless you plan to drive them at over 1300 fps I'd say skip Titewad. Its an excellent powder for 1 oz and OK for 7/8's. I use it successfully in 22-250 with 55 gr Sierra Spitzer point and hollow point and run them to 3700 on Spitzer and 3600 on hollow point. Nate, My go to 7/8 oz. 12 ga. load is in fact about what you stated. I use the Fio 616 Primer, in either AA or Rem. cases. 17.3 grs. Clays, a WAA12L wad or the Claybuster clone the CB0178-12, and 7/8 oz. shot.
